About Us

Armando currently serves as the Managing Principal of SJT Group LLC. Armando began his career in public accounting in 2000 and has dedicated his public accounting career to working with state and local governments such as tribal governments, tribal enterprises, tribal casinos, state governmental agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations. Armando specializes in providing audit services to his clients, including audits of federal awards under the Uniform Guidance, as well as the following accounting and consulting services:

• Policy and procedure manual review and/or development
• Monthly and annual bookkeeping and accounting assistance
• Audit preparation services
• Form 990 tax preparation for nonprofit organizations
• Internal audits and risk assessment

Armando currently serves as a member of the Bernalillo County Audit Committee, which coordinates the work of the County’s contracted internal and external auditors to meet the needs of the County Commission and County Manager. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Enlace Comunitario, a local Albuquerque nonprofit organization that works to transform lives of victims of domestic violence. 

Armando grew up in Las Cruces, NM and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy degree and an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from New Mexico State University. Armando is licensed to practice as a CPA in the State of New Mexico and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Armando is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants (NMSCPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

Lonnie is a Principal of SJT Group LLC and began his career in public accounting in 2000. Lonnie has dedicated his public accounting career to working with state and local governments such as tribal governments, tribal enterprises, tribal casinos, and state governmental agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations. Lonnie specializes in providing audit services to his clients, including audits of federal awards under the Uniform Guidance, as well as the following accounting and consulting services:

• Audit preparation services
• Form 990 tax preparation for nonprofit organizations
• Internal audits and risk assessment

Lonnie grew up in Albuquerque, NM and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of New Mexico. Lonnie is licensed to practice as a CPA in the State of New Mexico and is a member of the AICPA and the NMSCPA.

Josh is a Principal of SJT Group LLC and began his career in public accounting in 2005. Josh has dedicated his public accounting career to working with state and local governments such as tribal governments, tribal enterprises, state governmental agencies, counties, municipalities, and other special districts. He also has significant experience working with nonprofit organizations and healthcare entities. Josh specializes in providing audit services to his clients, including audits of federal awards under the Uniform Guidance, as well as the following accounting and consulting services:

•  Policy and procedure manual review and/or development
•  Audit preparation services
• Form 990 tax preparation for nonprofit organizations
• Training services (topics including the Uniform Guidance, GASB Updates, internal controls, budgeting, understanding annual financial statements, Board roles and responsibilities, and others)
• New market tax credits consulting (accounting, auditing and reporting entity considerations)

Josh grew up in Taos, NM and earned a Master of Accountancy degree from New Mexico State University. Josh is licensed to practice as a CPA in the State of New Mexico. In addition, Josh holds the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation and is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA). Josh is a member of the AICPA, the NMSCPA, the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), and HFMA, where he has served on the board of the New Mexico chapter and is a Past-President of the chapter.

Jeremiah is a Senior Manager of SJT Group LLC and has over 10 years of experience in public accounting. Jeremiah has devoted his career to providing governmental entities with accounting, auditing, and consulting services. His direct experience working with governmental entities include tribal governments, tribal casinos, tribal enterprises, school districts, municipalities, and other special districts. Jeremiah also has worked with several nonprofit organizations in New Mexico, providing audit services and preparation of Form 990 information returns.

Jeremiah currently serves as the Board Treasurer for Laguna Rainbow Corporation, a tribally owned nursing facility and senior center.

Jeremiah grew up in Moriarty, NM and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of New Mexico. Jeremiah is licensed to practice as a CPA in the State of New Mexico and is a member of the AICPA and the NMSCPA.

Heather is the Controller of SJT Group LLC and keeps the firm running. With over 18 years of experience as a Business Manager for both nonprofit and for-profit businesses, Heather is very knowledgeable about what it takes to run a small business.  

Heather also enjoys helping small business clients with their bookkeeping needs, having gained over 23 years of experience in bookkeeping in a variety of industries. She has also worked with many businesses to set up their accounting systems, as well as training individuals on accounting processes and functions.  

Heather grew up in Phoenix, AZ, and has spent the last 21 years in Albuquerque. She is a Certified QuickBooks user and ProAdvisor and has been using QuickBooks for over 20 years.
